Cleanup decision

Clean this before the next reply block. Your inbox is mostly DMX trials, setup questions, warm leads, and old X threads that no longer need attention, so each thread needs a bucket before it gets another reply.

Priority buckets

Reply now

7

Handle buying intent, demo questions, objections, or budget signals. Stop when the 30m block ends.

Follow up

9

Label threads where the next step belongs to you or the other person.

Archive/delete

31

Archive anything with no ask, no value, and no next step. Delete obvious spam, abuse, scam links, and duplicate promos.

Review later

15

Keep only threads that need context, a decision, or a weekly close-out.

Reply queue rules

First pass: open only threads matching buying intent, demo questions, objections, or budget signals.
Reply now when the answer can fit inside 4m and has one clear next action.
If a thread needs research, tag it "Lead: Needs context" and leave the inbox.
Do not answer low-intent threads from the reply block just because they are visible.
End the block after 7 priority replys or 30m, whichever comes first.

Archive/delete rules

Archive thank-you notes, emoji-only replies, closed loops, and threads with no ask.
Archive stale threads after one useful follow-up unless they contain clear value or risk.
Delete spam, scams, abusive messages, duplicate pitches, and anything you would never want resurfaced.
For relationship threads, keep the conversation only with a label and a next review date.
Use the balanced rule: Archive anything with no ask, no value, and no next step.

Follow-up labels

Lead: Reply todayLead: Waiting on themLead: Needs contextLead: Warm threadLead: Archive Friday

Weekly cleanup routine

Monday: scan 62 threads and assign every open DM to one bucket.
Tuesday and Wednesday: run 2 cleanup blocks of 45m without opening the timeline.
Thursday: reply to 7 priority threads and move fuzzy threads to Needs context.
Friday: archive or delete 31 threads from the cleanup bucket.
End of week: remove labels from closed threads so next week starts with fewer loose loops.

Clean up DMs without opening the timeline.

DMX keeps DMs and notifications available in a native macOS app while timeline browsing stays intentional.
